    New Ford Police Interceptor Utility Goes Green

    While also unveiling the 2020 Ford Explorer, Ford introduced a new law enforcement vehicle, the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility. While there are a lot of differences between the vehicles, both were built on the same platform and both have hybrid systems. The Police Interceptor Utility comes with the available Modular Hybrid Technology, just like the Explorer. The idea was to provide a more efficient police vehicle that can still handle SUV duties, such as towing a maximum of 5,000 pounds when properly equipped and driving off-road.
