The 2019 New York International Auto Show is coming up at the end of April, and while Ford hasn’t made any announcements about what it will bring to the show, there are plenty of theories floating around.
One big reveal we may see from Ford at the 2019 New York Auto Show is the possible new entry-level performance variant on the 2020 Mustang, which industry experts have theorized about since Ford announced a new engine option coming for the Mustang in February.
The options available right now, a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and 5-liter V8, sit at opposite ends of the performance spectrum, and ever since the Mustang V6 was discontinued, Ford fans have been dying for a mid-performance version.
We may also get a look at the 2020 Ford Escape. For the upcoming model year, Ford is revamping the Escape’s styling for a sleeker, more streamlined look, and the Escape will gain two hybrid trim options, including a plug-in.
The compact crossover market is absolutely flooded right now thanks to incredible consumer demand, and Ford has stepped up its game with the Escape to make it stand out from the crowd. The new Escape will be longer and sit lower for a sportier appearance — in fact, Ford said that the Mustang-inspired its design.
