The Quad Cities is a vibrant area in Illinois and Iowa that straddles the Mississippi River. And, despite its “quad” name, it consists of five cities: Bettendorf and Davenport in Iowa, and Moline, East Moline, and Rock Island, in Illinois. This area is chock full of fun and adventure, especially if you enjoy sports. Here are some of the best ways to enjoy sports in the Quad Cities.
Golfmohr Golf Club
Located in East Moline, this club offers a challenging 18-hole course along with a pro shop and snack bar. While membership is not required, they offer a variety of affordable membership packages for frequent golfers. Or, you can pay the public rates each time you go.
Cordova International Raceway
If you love some high-speed thrills, plan a weekend trip to the Cordova International Raceway, a local quarter-mile drag strip. They host a variety of racing circuits and on Friday nights have Fun Racing that is open to everyone.
If you prefer your golf in frisbee form instead of with a ball, there are plenty of disc golf courses in the Quad Cities area. Try Longview Park Conservatory and Gardens in Rock Island, Illinois; Prospect Park in Moline, Illinois; or Credit Island Park in Davenport, Iowa.
