Summer is in full swing, which means that the 4th of July is right around the corner. Around Moline and the Quad Cities, there are plenty of opportunities to celebrate the holiday and show your patriotic pride. Here are a few events we recommend to celebrate Independence Day in the Quad Cities.
- East Moline’s Independence Day: On the evening of July 3, head to The Quarter on the Riverfront to view a spectacular fireworks display and enjoy live music, a children’s carnival, and more. The following day, East Moline will host its 61st Annual AMVETS 4th of July Parade, which begins at 1 pm.
- Quad Cities River Bandits Home Game: Nothing is as distinctly American as a baseball game paired with a fireworks show. On July 4, head to the Bandits’ home game for some all-American fun.
- America’s Birthday Party in the Quad Cities: The largest fireworks display in the Quad Cities will take place on July 3. The fireworks will be shot off from two barges on the Mississippi River, and you can view the show from Modern Woodmen Park, Schwiebert Riverfront Park, Davenport Skybridge, and more locations listed here. For a musical accompaniment to the show, tune your radio to the 97x station to hear the Red, White, and Boom soundtrack.
Stop by Reynolds Ford if you’re in need of a new Ford to transport you to and from these holiday festivities.
